Karelian Research Centre was represented at this event by Head of the Doctoral Studies Department Olga Koshman. The second day of the event was dedicated to group work. The session participants formed 15 groups, two of which were thematic—focusing on culture and on doctoral studies. The doctoral studies group, which included Olga Koshman, was moderated by Pavel Agrba, Candidate of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics from Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. The group members discussed the challenges they faced during the admissions campaign and developed proposals and recommendations to improve the admissions process. These recommendations were discussed on the third day of the session with Andrey Omelchuk, Dmitry Pukhov, and Pavel Starikov.
- It was very useful to hear first-hand about the plans for the upcoming admissions and to participate in its organization, to connect with colleagues from scientific and educational institutions, exchange experiences, discuss pressing issues, and find solutions. I hope such sessions will be held on a regular basis, helping us to respond to future challenges promptly and flexibly, - shared Olga Koshman.
