Curriculum Vitae:
I was born in 1982 in the village Derevjanka, Karelia. I spent a lot of time in the forest, e.g. to pick berries and fishing. All doubts I had of becoming a biologist were lost somewhere in the forest during those times. Reading books of famous biologists and travelers also helped me with the choice of profession. 2004 I finished my biological studies at the Petrozavodsk State University and defended my thesis devoted to the wolves of Karelia. In the same year I started to work in the Institute of Biology as a trainee-researcher, where I am still working, however, nowadays as the acting head of the laboratory of zoology.
